Søren Rodian Olsen will join Newmark Polska as Executive Board Director and head of its Capital Markets unit, with the appointment taking effect on 1 September 2026. The move positions the Warsaw‑based firm to launch a dedicated advisory practice in one of the continent’s most watched property markets.
The executive previously served as director and board member of Urban Partners in the country, where he opened the first Warsaw office in 2021 and drove business development for the Logicenters logistics platform. That effort included the high‑profile acquisition of 7R SA, a milestone for the platform’s growth.
Extensive regional experience:
Before that, his career spanned senior positions at Bank Austria Creditanstalt and Commerzbank, followed by a stint as Poland country head at Aberdeen Immobilien, a Frankfurt‑based fund and asset manager.
He later became Partner and Head of Capital Markets at Cushman & Wakefield, advising on several of the largest commercial property deals across Central and Eastern Europe.

“Søren Rodian Olsen is a highly regarded professional in the real estate investment market.”
“His extensive experience in executing complex investment transactions, in‑depth market knowledge and strong relationships with both domestic and international investors will further enhance our ability to support clients effectively in making strategic investment decisions in today’s dynamic market environment. I am confident that Søren’s expertise will significantly strengthen our team and enable us to deliver the highest quality services,” said Piotr Kaszyński, Managing Partner at the firm.
“Joining Newmark Polska is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the company’s continued growth as it broadens its service offering and further strengthens its leading position in the European commercial real‑estate market.”
I am also delighted to be working with Piotr again, having previously cooperated with him on several investment transactions. The country remains one of the most dynamic and attractive property markets in Europe, continuing to attract both international capital and companies pursuing long‑term growth opportunities. I look forward to leveraging my professional network and the client network of Newmark to deliver highly customised advice to clients in and outside of the region,” the executive said.
Poland continues to draw investors.

He holds a finance degree from Copenhagen Business School and an MBA from the University of Westminster. Professional affiliations include membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a seat on the Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute’s Poland chapter, credentials that reinforce the institutional credibility the organization is banking on.
Broader firm capabilities:
The company is a Newmark Global Partner and part of the wider Newmark Global Network, offering conflict‑free tenant representation alongside advisory, valuation, design, project management and workplace strategy services.
Given the firm’s expansion, one could anticipate a modest increase in cross‑border transaction volume, especially as investors seek exposure to the country’s growth story. The new unit may also attract mid‑size developers looking for tailored financing solutions, though competition from established banks will remain stiff. It’s a bit of a gamble, but the timing aligns with broader capital‑flow trends.
The rollout is expected to commence shortly after the executive assumes his role, with initial client engagements focusing on logistics, office and mixed‑use projects. Early‑stage activities will involve assembling a specialist team, establishing processes and reaching out to existing and prospective investors.
