The bank’s net profit after Zakat and income tax reached SAR 6,582 million, a 3% increase from the same period in 2025. Lubna S. Olayan, Chair of the Board of Directors of Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB), announced today the Bank’s financial results for the nine months ended 30 September 2026. Total operating income rose 1% year-over-year to SAR 11,116 million, while third-quarter revenue climbed 5% sequentially to SAR 3,841 million—reflecting improved sequential momentum compared with the previous quarter.
The bank’s performance reflects disciplined capital deployment and a focus on balanced growth across its business lines. Net loans and advances grew 11% year-over-year to SAR 325 billion, aligning with strategic guidance. Against a backdrop of evolving market forces and regional developments, SAB continued to deliver against its strategic priorities, maintaining balanced growth through prudent risk management and disciplined capital deployment.
Margin performance improved in the third quarter, driven by asset repricing and stable funding costs. Pre-provision profit and operating income also increased compared to the prior quarter, contributing to a 14.2% return on tangible equity, nearly double the bank’s returns at the start of its 2021 strategy. This improvement shows SAB’s ability to execute its long-term plan amid market volatility, with sequential gains demonstrating sustained focus on operating performance.
The bank also continued to support its customers and employees amid the evolving operating environment, maintaining service continuity, prioritizing the wellbeing of its people and ensuring reliable access to banking services. Olayan acknowledged the bank’s 100-year heritage in Saudi Arabia while reaffirming its commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s economic development. She expressed gratitude to customers, employees, and regulatory partners, including the Saudi Central Bank, the Capital Market Authority, and strategic partner HSBC, for their ongoing support, showing the collaborative ecosystem sustaining SAB’s growth.
